Pucapucara, or “red fortress,” stands out for its construction and natural setting, while Tambomachay, the water temple, reflects the importance of water in Incan life.

Pick up from your hotel:
The City Tour experience begins. This process may take time due to the collection of passengers from different hotels in the city.
09:00 – 10:00
Visit to the Cathedral of Cusco:
This visit is optional and requires an additional entrance fee (20 soles).
QORICANCHA OR TEMPLE OF THE SUN
Visit to the Qoricancha:
We continue with the visit to the Temple of the Sun to learn more about the Inca culture. Admission is optional and costs 15 soles.

Tour of the main archaeological centers of the upper part of the city:
SACSAYHUAMÁN:
Considered a unique place for its Inca architecture. Here they paid homage to the god Illapa, the god of thunder in Quechua. Its construction is notable for its zigzagging shape.
QENQO:
It means "labyrinth" in Quechua. It is famous for its underground tunnels and religious ceremonies where animals were sacrificed to ask for good harvests.
PUCAPUCARA:
In Quechua it means "red fortress". This site has abundant ichu that gives it a reddish color, in addition to its limestone construction that reflects red tones at sunset.
TAMBOMACHAY:
It was a place of rest and worship of water, built with limestone, intended to provide water to nearby sites and for the bathing of the Inca and the Ñusta.

Return to Cusco:
The end point of the tour is at Plaza San Francisco at approximately 2:30 PM. There is also the option of taking the tour in the afternoon, starting between 13:00 and 13:30, with return at 18:00.
