Morning

Depart from Cusco You'll be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and transferred to the train station in Ollantaytambo. You'll board the train to Aguas Calientes, the town located at the base of Machu Picchu.

Afternoon

Explore Aguas Calientes Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, you'll check into your hotel and have some free time to explore the town. You can visit the local market, relax in the hot springs, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Evening

Dinner and rest In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and get a good night's sleep to prepare for an early start the next day.

Morning: Visit Machu Picchu

Wake up early to catch one of the first buses that will take you up to Machu Picchu. Once you arrive, you'll start a guided tour of the ancient city, exploring its impressive ruins, terraces, and learning about its history and significance.

Afternoon: Optional activities

After the guided tour, you'll have some free time to further explore Machu Picchu on your own or choose to hike to the Sun Gate for a different perspective of the ruins. Alternatively, you can hike to the Inca Bridge or climb the challenging Huayna Picchu mountain for breathtaking views.

Evening: Return to Cusco

At a designated time, you'll take a bus back down to Aguas Calientes and have some free time to have lunch before catching your train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, you'll be transferred back to Cusco and dropped off at your hotel.
